"Experimental" mode allows each user to cross-reference all variables (2D/3D), or display each variable (1D) by comparing values and their differences (box plot) between species or acoustic types. Some variable combinations (2D) not presented in the Excel files (DVD of the book "Acoustic ecology of bats of Europe" or website) are thus possible, but not always informative : The Excel files contain only pairs of variables that provide a distribution of values useful for diagnosing taxa, the others, less relevant, were abandoned in order to lighten the files. The purpose of this application is to allow users to explore all the possibilities allowed by the number of measured values. Each user have to assess whether these combinations provides robust information.

The use of the narrative data contained in the book should never be neglected : values displayed on a graph, without a good interpretation based on field experience, can lead to meaningless conclusions !
